Angola prison sees 18 inmate deaths so far in 2026, officials say

The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections has reported 18 inmate deaths at the Louisiana State Penitentiary so far this year, due to natural causes, undetermined causes, and preexisting medical conditions.
