NEWPORT, Ark. – The growing impact of artificial intelligence has led a northeast Arkansas university to develop a course for its application.
Arkansas State University-Newport announced Thursday that it will offer an “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Productivity” course for its Fall 2024 semester. Officials said the course is intended to equip enrollees with the knowledge and skills to leverage IA technology for enhanced professional and personal productivity.
Officials said Mark Hanan, the university’s director of instructional design and distance education, will teach the course and will be offered in both live and online formats.
School representatives said the course reflects the growing need for AI literacy as the technology becomes more integrated with modern life. ASUN Dean for STEM Monica Mobley said the course is in response to the public’s need to understand the technology.
