Lots of rain fell across Arkansas Monday and Tuesday thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl. Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Texas as a Category 1 hurricane early Monday morning. It slowly weakened into a tropical storm, and eventually, a tropical depression as it neared Arkansas.
Even though Beryl had weakened, it still brought multiple inches of rain. Many areas saw record-breaking totals.
Just some of the records broken on Monday were;
Jacksonville/ Little Rock Air Force Base: 0.77" beating the previous record of 0.72"set in 2004
Stuttgart: 0.61" beating the previous record of 0.61" set in 2017...
