VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was arrested in Vista Wednesday after a search warrant led to the discovery of illegal firearms and controlled substances, said the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station were called to a home in the 900 block of Sugarbush Terrace around 1:30 p.m. to investigate a "temporary restraining order violation."
During the investigation, deputies found out that 39-year-old Sean Christiansen, a convicted felon, lived at the home in question. Authorities said they also discovered that the man was in possession of several firearms and ammunition. Based on this information, sheriff's detectives obtained a search warrant for Christiansen's home.
While conducting that search, the department said more than 35 rifles and handguns were found, along with body armor, various firearm parts, illegal high-capacity magazines, thousands of rounds of ammunition, firearms manufacturing equipment and about five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.
