Bernie Sanders: Joe Biden will, and should, be Democratic nominee

(NewsNation) — Sen. Bernie Sanders has shown unwavering support for President Joe Biden despite fellow Democrats calling for him to step aside from fellow Democrats.

In an opinion piece published in The New York Times Saturday, Sanders urged Democrats to stay unified notwithstanding concerns over Biden's cognitive competency.

"It’s time for Democrats to stop the bickering and nit-picking," Sanders wrote. "Mr. Biden may not be the ideal candidate, but he will be the candidate and should be the candidate.
