Beryl felt like a 'category three, four, five': Storm chaser

(NewsNation) —  Storm chaser Kyle Cutten has claimed the effects of Hurricane Beryl feel vastly more severe than its current category one scaling.

Texas officials have issued preemptive disaster declarations for 121 counties, along with evacuation orders for some areas. The southern coast expecting a dangerous storm surge and flash flooding.

Cutten spoke to "Morning In America" from inside the eye of the storm in Matagorda, Texas, amid "100 mph winds."
