LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A central Arkansas organization is closing the digital gap for families in need with the help of a major telecommunications company.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas partnered with AT&T to give out 100 laptops in Little Rock to families without a computer at home.
Not only were computers given away, but also backpacks full of school supplies to make schoolwork a little easier in the months to come.
One family, who had to go to the local library for school work before, said this will benefit their household greatly.
"I'm just blessed. I'm so happy that this program offered me the opportunity to get a computer for the house," Gwendolyn Thompson said.
