CLAYSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A Hollidaysburg man was charged after allegedly hitting an officer and threatening them with Taekwondo after a night of drinking, according to police.
Jerry Daniel Gensamer, 61, was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest, obstruction, disorderly conduct and giving false information to police after a vehicle he was the passenger in was pulled over in Claysburg just before midnight July 19.
Greenfield Township police said they pulled over a vehicle owned by Gensamer for not having rear lights on. While speaking with the driver, who claimed she was driving because Gensamer was intoxicated, police said Gensamer was yelling obscenities at them, according to charges filed.
When asked to quiet down and let officers continue their investigation, Gensamer said he wanted to plead his Fourth and Fifth Amendments, police noted. He allegedly refused to provide identification and when asked to exit the vehicle, he lunged at an officer, hitting them in the midsection.
