MANASQUAN, N.J. — An unusually dramatic change in water levels left three fishing boats stranded near Manasquan Inlet on Saturday afternoon as the tide receded to one of its daily low points.

Video shared by Jersey Shore Fire Response showed the boats resting on the bottom around Gull Island after the water pulled away, exposing large areas that had been navigable just hours earlier.
