Body Of Woman Pulled from New York City’s East River

On Friday, August 2, 2024, at around 10:51 AM, NYPD officers responded to a distressing 911 call about a water rescue near East 23rd Street along the East River. The NYPD Harbor Unit retrieved the body of an unidentified female from the water within the jurisdiction of the 13th precinct.

The woman was pronounced dead upon arrival at the shore.
