Boulder middle school teacher arrested on charge of sexual assault on a child

DENVER (KDVR) — A Boulder middle school teacher was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child, and the school's former principal was arrested on charges of failing to report the alleged crime.

On Thursday, FOX31 received the letter that was sent to the parents of Manhattan Middle School. The middle school is in the Boulder Valley School District.

Current Principal Kristen Lewis said math teacher Dan Greenberg, 55, was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, child abuse and harassment.

Jury deliberates in drugging, sex assault trial of former Denver doctor

According to the school, Greenberg had been on leave since March.

Additionally, former Principal John Riggs was arrested on charges of failing to report. The school said Riggs retired at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
