Brian Stubbs announces his candidacy for Midland City Council, District 1

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Local community leader, Brian Stubbs announced his candidacy for the Midland City Council, District 1, and his vision for Midland.

On Wednesday, July 24, Brian Stubbs announced his candidacy through a press release, which stated that Stubbs is President and Owner of a multi-million company called Air Compressor Solutions (ACS), which was reported to have grown by 400% from Stubbs's efforts. 

According to the press release, Stubbs's other accomplishments include leading the expansion of ACS with four new locations, increasing the workforce from 18 to more than 90 employees, and earning the ACS Distributor of the Year award from Ingersoll Rand in 2020. 

Stubbs was also reported to have a degree in mechanical engineering and experience at Cummins Inc. and was said to have guided the company ACS through the 2015 oil and gas downturn, successfully achieving a 60% revenue increase through improving efficiency and customer service. 

Brian Stubbs was also reported to be involved in the community, serving on the boards of several local organizations, including the Midland Education Foundation and the Midland Chamber of Commerce. Stubbs was also stated to be an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church alongside his wife Jenney of 22 years and their two teenage boys.
