Brooklyn's Alamo Drafthouse receives major upgrade, enhancing theater experience

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A beloved movie theater in downtown Brooklyn is back and better than ever, with a major upgrade.

Following its June acquisition by Sony, the Alamo Drafthouse at City Point has much more to offer.

The theater has new auditoriums, recliner seats, and more restrooms. The upgrade will finish just in time for the second weekend of "Deadpool & Wolverine."

The downtown Brooklyn location is the chain's first in New York City and its highest-grossing since opening in 2016.
