Caliche falls off truck on Harlingen expressway, traffic delays expected

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Traffic delays are expected on the expressway in Harlingen due to a cargo incident, according to the Harlingen Police Department.

Southbound lanes on U.S. Expressway 77 are closed off as police assist a truck that dropped caliche on the road.

Authorities say the inside and middle lanes are closed.

The incident happened at approximately 10:45 a.m.
