INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — On Friday, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced that formal charges have been filed against an Indianapolis man for his accused involvement in an east side crash that injured eight people earlier this week.
According to court documents, Tramayne Harris, 27, was driving at 87-97 mph northbound on State Avenue when he ran a red light and collided with a Ford Explorer SUV carrying seven people traveling east on New York Street.
Six children, all riding in the SUV, were among the eight injured.
Documents reveal Harris had an open bottle of Jose Cuervo in the car and had a blood alcohol concentration of .145, which is nearly twice the legal limit of .08.
