Caught on camera: Thief rams car into Denver liquor and vape shop

DENVER (KDVR) — A Denver liquor and vape shop was broken into after a suspect rammed a car into the entrance.

Just before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Denver Police Department responded to Hampden Plaza Liquors and Buzz Smoke and Vape after a car crashed into a building. But when officers arrived, they found much more than that.

Shop owners who spoke with FOX31 on Wednesday said thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was stolen, with the car used as a way to make entry.

Sam, the cousin of one of those shop owners, was there for support on Wednesday as cleanup was underway.

"He’s just looking to keep the business open. He's trying to get the door installed and, you know, that’s thousands of dollars," Sam said.
