CFD: Woman dies after getting trapped in machinery at O'Hare

CHICAGO — A woman died Thursday after getting trapped in machinery at O'Hare.

Authorities responded to the area of Terminal 5 during the morning hours.

Chicago fire told WGN News they believe the incident was an industrial accident.

A woman in her 40s reportedly became trapped in machinery, accord to fire officials.

It happened in a baggage handling area that the public isn't allowed into, CFD said.

Chicago police are investigating.

It's unknown at this time if the woman was working at O'Hare at the time of the incident.
