HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - MLS leading scorer Chicho Arango has been suspended for the next two regular season games, the MLS All-Star Game, and Real Salt Lake's Leagues Cup match against Atlas FC August 1st for violating the league's anti-harassment policy.
No futher details were released regarding what exactly Arango did, but Real Salt Lake released a statement Monday saying, "The Club has fully cooperated with Major League Soccer’s investigation and accepts the disciplinary decision."
Arango has 17 goals this season, one shy of the franchise record set by Alvaro Saborio. His 17 goals leads the entire league, and he is considered the favorite for to win the Most Valuable Player award.
Arango will miss Real Salt Lake's crucial road games against LAFC on Wednesday and Colorado at Saturday.
Arango was selected to his first MLS All-Star Game, but will be forced to sit that game out.
