Child dies in UTV crash in Old Jamestown

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are investigating a child death following a UTV crash in the north county community of Old Jamestown.

According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a county police spokeswoman, the crash happened in the 4500 block of Dieckmann Lane. Officers received a call for an accidental injury just after 7:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Panus said the child, 6, was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
