LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Friday, the city of Little Rock held its relaunch of Project Impact, which is centered around beautifying neighborhoods, reducing crime and connecting people with resources.
The city held the launch party at Curran Conway Park and the areas they're focusing on right now are 12th Street south to Asher Avenue and Woodrow Street west to University Avenue.
Ward One city director over those areas, Virgil Miller, says this is important because people in that community need to know they are not forgotten about. He said they want to help clean the area up and give it the attention it needs.
“So with this launch we're telling the people we are here, we need for you to be here too we can't do this by ourselves we need the people that live in this community to get involved in this community, and when you get involved we're a better city,” Miller stated.
