LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Concerns about what it calls the nationwide overdose and addiction crisis have led the Clinton Presidential Center to act.
The center announced Wednesday that it was installing six overdose aid kits throughout its campus through its Clinton Global Initiative’s Overdose Response Network. The kits contain naloxone, known commercially as NARCAN, a breathing mask, drug administration instructions, fentanyl test strips and treatment & recovery support information.
Officials said staff and volunteers would be trained on the proper use of the kits and on how to recognize overdose signs and symptoms.
The kits are part of a 2012 initiative the Clinton Foundation began to combat prescription drug misuse.
