DENVER (KDVR) — Several wildfires were burning thousands of acres along the Front Range on Wednesday. With dozens of agencies and hundreds of firefighters fighting the flames, Colorado's firefighting resources are spread thin.
There are four wildfires threatening homes on the Front Range:
- Alexander Mountain Fire in Larimer County: 6,840 acres and 0% contained as of 2:40 p.m.
- Stone Canyon Fire in Boulder County: 1,580 acres and 0% contained as of 1:45 p.m.
- Quarry Fire in Jefferson County: Around 200 acres Wednesday morning.
- A fourth wildfire sparked near Gross Reservoir in Boulder County on Wednesday afternoon, prompting more mandatory evacuations
