INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – For only the second time in Indiana state history, 60+ tornadoes touched down in a single calendar year in 2025.

There have been 173 confirmed tornadoes in Indiana from 2023 to 2025. This is the highest amount ever in a three-year span for Indiana. Despite 2025 having the second highest amount of tornadoes all-time in a calendar year, no tornado was rated higher than EF2.
