County to take 'swift' action following deadly Gardendale crash

GARDENDALE, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Community members living in Gardendale called for area leaders to take action following a deadly crash Tuesday evening on Cottonwood Road and FM 554.

The details of the deadly crash have not yet been released, as the investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety is ongoing, but Ector County Judge, Dustin Fawcett, confirmed at least one person died Tuesday, and at least two others sustained life-threatening injuries after someone ran a stop sign at the intersection and t-boned another vehicle.
