Crane falls onto roof in Brooklyn: FDNY

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A truck boom, or a crane connected to a truck, fell onto the roof of a Brooklyn building Thursday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

A video posted to Citizen shows the machinery crashed into the building's roof on 44th Street between Fourteenth and Fifteenth Avenues.

The FDNY is assessing the damage on the roof. The building is occupied but initial sweeps showed no people were present, FDNY officials told PIX11 News.
