Crash on I-30 jams eastbound traffic in Benton

BENTON, Ark. – A crash on Interstate 30 in Benton has backed up eastbound traffic Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the crash was reported just before 1 p.m. just past Exit 116.

All eastbound lanes of traffic are being affected by the crash, with drivers being diverted at Exit 116.

ARDOT officials report that multiple vehicles are involved in the crashed. Officials have not released a cause for the crash, and initial reports do not indicate that anyone was injured.

The area of the crash has been under construction for a number of years as part of the I-30 widening project.
