Public hearing set for Indianapolis data center
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Despite assurances from the California tech company of investment, relatively minimal environmental impact, and to “integrate seamlessly into the community,” a contingent of faith leaders and community members are rejecting the idea of Metrobloks‘ $500 million data center in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood.
About 30 people gathered in a parking lot adjacent to the development site to speak out against a rezoning request to build the data center on a nearly 14-acre site, ahead of a public hearing scheduled for Thursday.
