(WTAJ) — Children and adults who have special needs in Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, Clarion, Forest, McKean and northern Indiana Counties can get a first-hand look at what Pennsylvania State Police does at this year's Sunny Day Camp.
One of this year's camps will take place at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds with troopers from Troop C. The free one-day program will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Applicants must be a Special Olympic participant or an adult/child with special needs or a disability.
There is no age limit for participants, but the camp is limited to the first 85 applicants. Register for this year's camp here. Attendees must be accompanied by one family member, guardian or caregiver.
Registration will take place at 8:30 a.m. that day with it officially kicking off at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided and at the end of the day, attendees will graduate! They'll receive a complimentary t-shirt, a challenge coin, a Junior Trooper hat and a graduation certificate.
