DENVER (KDVR) - In 2018, Denver started with only a couple hundred scooters on the street. Six years later, Denver is now one of the biggest micro-mobility cities in North America, according to Lime.

Scooters started as a Shared Micromobility Pilot Program allowing electric scooters and bikes to operate in the public right-of-way to reduce single-occupancy vehicles. At the time of the pilot, it was considered a success, and that was before the number of people on scooters skyrocketed.
