DENVER (KDVR) — Mainly sunny skies will be over the Front Range Thursday, allowing for temperatures to reach near record highs with less wildfire smoke in the Denver weather forecast.

The eastern half of the state will see more sunshine on Thursday as clouds increase across the high country.

Smoke will be less impactful as highs are in the upper 90s, nearing the record high of 99 degrees. Winds will increase through the afternoon.
