KERMIT, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - Kermit ISD has announced that Dr. Rodney Schneider will be the new Superintendent of the school district, following former Superintendent's move to Superintendent of Greenville ISD in March. Dr. Schnieder was then selected as KISD's interim Superintendent. He started that position on April 15.
KISD said Dr. Schneider has more than 34 years of experience in education. More than 20 of those years were spent as a Superintendent. The district said Dr. Schneider has many years of experience leading school districts "very similar" to KISD. The district added that Dr. Schneider has a proven track record of improving educational outcomes, leading his last school district, Dublin ISD, to an "A" rating.
Dr. Schneider has a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University, master's degree in Education from Sul Ross University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from North Dakota State University.
