SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- One person was killed Thursday morning after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash on the 905 freeway, said California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred when a driver was traveling westbound at the entry ramp to the southbound Interstate 5. As of 8 a.m., that transition ramp remained block as authorities conducted an investigation. Motorists could be seen being detoured around the crash site.
A CHP officer at the scene told FOX 5/KUSI that the incident involved one vehicle with a single occupant. The driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was reportedly not wearing their seatbelt and was ejected during the crash.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner was called to the scene. The identity of the deceased individual has not been released at this time.
