Suspect runs into woods but drone and K9 team close in fast

Syracuse, NY — A late-night police pursuit turned into a coordinated high-tech search that ended with a suspect in custody and a loaded handgun recovered from a wooded area.

The incident unfolded around 1:43 a.m. April 17 when Syracuse Police assisted the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in a vehicle pursuit that ended near Burnet Avenue and Hickock Avenue.
