CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two people were arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing from cars in the Philipsburg area.
Sierra Bratton, 24, of Osceola Mills, and Randy Potter Jr., 26, of Altoona, are accused of stealing a vehicle, stealing from other vehicles and using people's bank cards to make purchases.
On July 31, state police were called to Philipsburg Borough around 8:36 a.m. for the report of a vehicle theft. The victim told officers his vehicle, a red Toyota Prius, was stolen from his residence, charges show.
The victim was able to ping the vehicle to different nearby locations and eventually to a warehouse in Clearfield, according to the criminal complaint. Troopers from State Police in Clearfield found Bratton and Potter running from the area and they were arrested.
Around 10 a.m., officers received a call from another victim stating her Toyota Tundra was rummaged through and her credit cards, social security cards and gift cards were all taken. Charges show that the victim also said her credit card was used at Minit Mart in Philipsburg.
