Eastbound I-40 backed up at I-430 interchange after crash closes all lanes

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – A crash on Interstate 40 near the I-430 interchange has blocked all eastbound traffic lanes midday Thursday.

The crash is listed near Exit 147 and was reported a few minutes after 11 a.m.

Traffic cameras from the Arkansas Department of Transportation IDrive system show massive traffic backups in the eastbound stretching back nearly to the Maumelle exit.

There has been no official information released from ARDOT regarding the number of vehicles involved in the crash, but a source near the scene said two tractor-trailers were involved. Initial reports from the ARDOT Construction and Travel Information System did not include any injuries.
