ECISD improves transportation registration: here's what you need to know

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - The Ector County Independent School District said its Transportation Department has been working through the summer to improve the process of requesting a bus and receiving the notification once it is set up for children who ride a bus to and from schools.

The district said the process is now more streamlined and efficient for parents to register their children for school and request transportation services, all through the Focus Parent Portal.

To register your child(ren) for transportation services, ECISD says to do the following:

• Register through the Focus Parent Portal, which can be found here.

• Click "yes" for transportation during the registration process on your computer. Follow the steps on the site found here.

• Within one to two business days, parents will receive an email detailing whether their child is eligible for transportation, according to district policy. If eligible, the email will include details of the child's pick-up and drop-off times.
