Eric Dane Is Honored By His Co-Stars After His Death At 53

In 2025, Eric Dane went public with his ALS diagnosis, and nearly a year later, the actor has died of complications related to the disease. Dane was known for several iconic television and movie roles, most notably Dr. Mark Sloan in Grey’s Anatomy and Cal Jacobs in Euphoria. In the wake of his passing at 53 years old, his former co-stars have shared touching tributes to remember him.

Dane’s death was confirmed on Feb. 19 in a statement from his family to People. "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS," the statement read. "He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world."
