Fatal crash on I-70 in Indianapolis involves SUV, motorcycle

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person died Thursday night in the crash of an SUV and a motorcycle on I-70 eastbound on the east side of Indianapolis, local police and state transportation authorities said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was sent at 7:12 p.m. Thursday to a crash on an I-70 ramp at North Post Road, according to an computer-aided dispatch system.

IMPD did not immediately have information on the person who died, or what may have led to the crash. Police also did not say if any roads have been closed as a result of the fatal crash, but Indiana Department of Transportation said entrance and exit ramps were slow in the eastbound direction of travel.
