BELLEFONTAINE NEIGHBORS, Mo. – Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are investigating a fatal shooting in Bellefontaine Neighbors.
According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a county police spokeswoman, Bellefontaine Neighbors police were called to a home in the 9800 block of Calumet Drive just after 1:05 p.m. for a shooting. Officers found an adult man suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries and died. The victim has not been identified.
Bellefontaine Neighbors police requested St. Louis County authorities take over the investigation.
