Authorities in Mexico are reportedly in touch with the FBI amid the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie.

The FBI has been in contact with Mexican law enforcement, according to sources who spoke to CBS News and ABC7.

Nancy has been missing since February 1, when she failed to attend a friend’s virtual church service, prompting a welfare check at her home in Tucson, Arizona. Authorities said it appeared she had been kidnapped from the residence overnight. She was last seen on January 31 after having dinner with her daughter Annie Guthrie and son-in-law.

Officials have not confirmed whether she may have been taken across the border, though the county in which Nancy lives lies close to Mexico.
