STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Federal charges have been brought against a State College journalist accused of soliciting sex from who he believed to be an underage girl.
On Aug. 6, Christopher Morelli, 54, of Pleasant Gap was indicted and accepted a plea agreement for attempting to entice a minor. Similar charges were brought against him by the Spring Township Police in Centre County in December 2023.
Through the plea deal, Morelli is set to serve a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison. The agreement also states that the feds will not bring any additional criminal charges against him that arise from his involvement in this incident, which is tied to his arrest in December 2023.
