Food Network Star Anne Burrell Reportedly Showed No ‘Signs’ of Wanting to Harm Herself Before Death

Additional information has surfaced in connection with the death of Food Network personality Anne Burrell.

According to a New York Police Department report obtained by People, a redacted individual described as “married to Anne” — seemingly referring to her husband, Stuart Claxton — told authorities that Burrell “has never attempted suicide in the past and has never talked about it.” He also said he had not observed “any signs that she would do something like this that he has witnessed.”

The person, alleged to be Claxton, added that while Burrell had “used cocaine in the past, but that was a few years ago” and said that she had “no medical conditions.”

Investigators stated that a note indicating “suicidal” intent, along with journals described as containing similar content, were discovered in the primary bedroom of her Brooklyn residence after her death on June 17, 2025, per People. The note was reportedly dated the morning she died.
