JEFFERSON COUNTY (WTAJ) - Beginning in the summer of 2023, food truck Mondays is providing the Brookville community with different food options to start off their week.
The Brookville Chamber of Commerce started the food truck Mondays because they said a lot of the local restaurants are closed on Monday, not giving people a lot of options on their lunch breaks, as well as bringing foods that the community may not get to experience without traveling outside of Brookville.
"The idea behind the food truck Monday is to bring a positive spin to the lack of dining options we have in Brookville. So it's exciting to bring different ethnicities because that is just something that we do lack in general, even when the restaurants are open,” Brookville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Jamie Popson said.
Not only does the Chamber of Commerce have food truck Mondays but they also have a number of different events coming up for the community to enjoy, such as a BBQ Bash and Friday after Five farmers market.
