Former NJ Democratic mayor, husband charged in election petition fraud case

Lumberton, NJ – Former Lumberton Township Mayor and current Committeewoman Gina LaPlaca and her husband, Jason Carty, are facing criminal charges after Burlington County prosecutors accused them of using fraudulent petition signatures in an effort to place LaPlaca on the Democratic primary ballot.
