Fort Stockton man arrested after crystal meth found in car

PECOS COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - A Fort Stockton man was arrested near Iraan on Thursday, after deputies found crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle.

According to PCSO, on Thursday, July 18, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Interstate 20 near Iraan. Durin the stop, the deputy noticed "factors of criminal activity" before requesting assistance from the Pecos County K-9 Until.

After a search of the vehicle, about one pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine was found inside. The suspect was arrested and placed in the custody of the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case remains an ongoing investigation.

The Sheriff's Office also said this was a collaborative effort with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
