Free swim days to take place in East County

SANTEE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Summer has been heating up, especially for those in East County.

The Santee Aquatics Center at the Cameron YMCA, located at 10123 Riverwalk Drive, is hosting free swim days on Aug. 17, 24 and 31, the City of Santee said in a press release Monday.

Swimmers can attend the Saturday sessions between 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. The YMCA's Activity Pool and limited lap swimming will be available for use.

All attendees, who will receive a wristband, must be Santee residents with proof of identification and have to sign a waiver before using the pool.

The city advises participants to arrive early as the Activity Pool sessions have a maximum number of patrons due to lifeguard ratios.
