NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) -- If you live on the G line, service changes will be pulling into multiple stations soon.
G trains will not run between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue in Brooklyn starting Monday Aug. 12 and lasting through Sep. 3. The line will also be suspended in both directions from 8:30 p.m. Sunday Aug. 11 to 4 a.m. Aug. 12.
To replace service during both scheduled changes the MTA will run free B98 and B93 shuttle buses. F trains will continue to make its usual stops that coincide with the G train from Bergen Street to Church Avenue. J and Z trains will also make local stops between Myrtle Avenue and Marcy Avenue.
The service changes to the G train are part of the MTA’s four part plan to modernize signals. The current signals date back to the 1930s and frequently cause service disruptions and delays on the G line.
