Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are not rushing to the altar after getting engaged on the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette.
The couple — who famously fell in love on the hit reality show — took to Instagram on Monday, February 16, and posted a joint Q&A video in which they answered a question about when they planned to tie the knot.
Together, the pair explained that they both have adult children getting married and don’t want to overshadow their big days. (Vassos, 63, shares daughters Allison and Erica, and sons Nicholas and Luke, with her late husband, John Vassos, while Chapple, 62, shares kids Taylor and Tyler with his ex-wife.)

“In 2025, Joan had a big wedding for her oldest son, Nick. And then she’s got another one getting married this year, so we’ve elected to not compete with them,” Chapple shared. “Let them have their year. So you might look for something in 2027.”
