LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders named a longtime advisor as the newest member of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Monday.
Chris Caldwell joins the commission for a seven-year term, with Sanders saying Caldwell would replace outgoing AGFC chair Stan Jones while John David “J.D.” Neeley assumes the role of commission chairman.
According to a spokesperson for the governor, Caldwell is from Saline County, where he runs a lobbying firm. He had previously managed the Sarah for Governor campaign and served as a special advisor to the governor-elect’s transition team.
During the Trump administration, Caldwell was the federal co-chair of the Delta Regional Authority. He has also previously served on Sen. John Boozman’s (R-AR) staff.
