Greenwood man sentenced for possessing child porn; some victims as young as 1

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A man from Greenwood was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to child exploitation, a mid-level felony, and possession of child pornography, a low-level felony.

40-year-old Rudy Mohika was sentenced to eight years, six of those in prison followed by two years of supervised probation.

A release sent by Johnson County Prosecutor Office says he will be required to register as a sex offender and complete sex offender treatment after he is released from prison.

In December 2024, the Lebanon Police Department and Boone County CASE Task Force received a cyber tip from the Kik platform about suspected child pornography uploads in November 2024. Through this investigation, the Kik account was connected to Mohika.

Mohika was discovered to have sent around 50 child porn files to users online. The images and videos in his possession were of children between the ages of 1 – 6 years old.

The court in sentencing Mohika referenced his admission to having an addiction to child pornography going back before this cyber tip was made.
